Gorgeous gown - the satin has wonderful drape and seems to glow with a life of its own. Great neckline with free-form satin "flames" surrounded by open-work lace. Truly a gown of timeless elegance. The gown has some minor "rose bruising" at the center front where the bride's bouquet scratched the gown a bit. This is pictured, but is barely noticeable in real life. Gown also has a few very subtle - almost invisible mends in the lace. Otherwise in excellent condition.

What a beautiful gown! And it could not be in better condition. Made of nylon with metal side zipper - both brand new innovations when this gown was made. It's easy to see why nylon was immediately popular for wedding gowns - this is not like any nylon you've ever seen. Fine, silky (a little floaty, even) with a beautiful drape and 'hand' and just a little silky shine. A truly wonderful fabric that was soon to disappear, as nylon would be needed to fight WWII.

The lace in this gown is some of the loveliest I've seen - beautfully woven with each complex motif clear and precise, sheer but very strong. The deeply gathered bodice is accented with rounded flower buds - an exquisite embellishment. The sleeves have a bit of gathered net in the shoulders for a little body and shape, and best of all - it comes with its original silky bias-cut slip that provides the perfect lining.

What an unusual and intricate design in this gorgeous silky Deco dress. Clever shaping and design encourages the collar to stand up - and the silky roses that grace the throat are the height of femininity. Working satin buttons all down the shoulders and arms allow for a renaissance "slit sleeve" effect or button them up completely to accentuate a strong shoulder line. Graceful in every detail.
