| A top of the line book designed by a well-known artist of the time, Marie Farini & published by Gibson. Book is bound in moire satin decorated with a beautiful hand-painted orchid. The inside is filled with exquisitely rich gray-toned illustrations.
This volume is unusual for including lots of pages for your notes and memories - not typical for the time. The pages themselves are of heavy paper stock with a subtle tone-on-tone texture. Going through the book cover to cover, there is a dedication page, pages for Engagement & Notes, Showers & Shower Gifts, three pages headed Personal to use as you please, Invitation, Photos of the Bride & Groom, the Wedding Gown, Trousseau & Hope Chest, Our Wedding Party, Marriage Certificate, four pages for Wedding Guests & four for Gifts & Givers, Our Wedding Journey, two pages for the Honeymoon, At Home, two pages for Anniversaries, and three for Memories.
In pristine condition - virtually mint. Larger format, 7 1/2" x 9 1/2," a very, very expensive keepsake when it was published in the depths of the Depression. |

| This sedate little volume was printed in 1902 on heavy glossy paper. The grey-toned artwork has a restrained loveliness and the poetry & Bible quotes express all the fondest wishes of the Victorian bride. Two pages for Guests, three for Gifts, pages for the Attendants, Announcements & Congratulations, plus several blank pages. Comes with its original box which is in rough shape with loses on the edges of the top and mends on the rest of the edges of the top, but it is intact enough to do its job, and the top with its charming illustration is still intact and lovely. The book is hardbound leatherette, 6" x 8," 22 p. |
